Always good choices on Thursday ... here's a few to note:
In town tonight at the Alberta Rose Theatre is Stacey Earle and Mark Stuart ... this husband and wife team of troubadours will charm you with their music and warmth. Always engaging and entertaining, Stacey and Mark are playing a bigger room then usual in Portland (they were frequent guests at the old Mississippi Studios), but shouldn't loose any of the intimacy of a smaller venue. It's a night of great duos, as locals Adam & Kris will open .... 8:30 PM, $12
Should be a rockin' night at Duff's with The Knuckleheads ... Rumor has it that Curtis "Satellite Malone" Salgado will be joining John Mazzocco, Paris Slim, Jeff Meriweather, and a few other guests ... 9 PM, $??
Of course, you can start early with happy hour at the Laurelthirst with the always dependable Lewi Longmire and band .... 6 PM, no cover
Or get your jam on with the Garcia Birthday Band at the White Eagle ... 8:30 PM, no cover
.... or maybe Jimmy Mak's for the weekly soulful set by the Mel Brown B3 Organ Band ... 8 PM, $5
