Quick heads up for tonight ...
One of my fave's, Alejandro Escovedo will be at the Aladdin, touring to support his new CD, Street Songs of Love. For the past 20 years he's produced some of the most consistently inspiring, adventurous, and heart-felt music ... and is an amazing live performer. Fellow Austinite Amy Cook opens ... 8 pm, $20
At the Zoo, it's the Quebe Sisters with their engaging mix of country, western swing, jazz, and classic cowboy music ... 7 pm, $10.50
On the local scene, Sassparilla will be pretty darn sassy at the Laurelthirst for happy hour (6 pm, no cover) .... Alice Stuart will follow (9 pm, no cover).
Little Sue will be doing her regular Wednesday happy hour at Biddy's (6 pm, no cover), followed by Stringed Migration (9 pm, no cover)
Blues? Big Monti and the Precious Darlings are at the Trails End Saloon ... 8 pm, no cover
More tomorrow on some big shows for the weekend.
