Besides the Gulfsongs Oregon benefit show at the White Eagle and the opening shows of the Portland Folk Festival I mentioned earlier, tonight you can catch any of the following 6 PM happy hour shows: Lewi Longmire at the Laurelthirst, Morgan Grace at Biddy McGraw's, or the Portland Playboys at Duff's Garage.
The Kennedy School hosts The Builders and The Butchers and Pancake Breakfast as part of the Great Northwest Music Tour ... why does that bill make me hungry? ... 7 PM, no cover
Stephanie Schneiderman does a 7 PM set at Jimmy Mak's with special guest Tony Furtado (no cover) ... followed by the Mel Brown B3 Organ Band at 8 PM ($5).
At the East End there's four bands including From Words To Blows (Little Sue, Jesse Emerson, Steve Drizos and Jenny Conlee-Drizos) and Mike Coykendall & The Golden Shag ... 9 PM, $8
Lloyd Jones and Dover Weinberg are at the Blue Monk throwin' down a little organ trio action ... 9 PM, no cover
Not exactly live music, but Rosanne Cash is in town tonight speaking at the Bagdad Theater about her new memoir, Composed ... 7 PM, $26.95 (includes copy of the book)
