Sunday
Going to call out what should be a great show at the Crystal Ballroom. Over the past decade I have become a huge fan of the writing and singing of Patty Griffin. Her newest CD, Downtown Church doesn't feature her writing, but puts her amazing vocals front and center on a set of traditional gospel tunes. With Buddy Miller producing and collaborating with vocalists like the McCrary Sisters, Mike Farris, Emmylou Harris, Julie Miller and Raul Malo resulted in a truly powerful and moving recording. Joined on tour by Buddy Miller, this is one show not to be missed ... 8 pm, $32
