Casey Neill and the Norway Rats have a CD release show at the Doug Fir. Really looking forward to hearing Casey's new CD, Subterrene ... 9 pm, $14

Redray Frazier is at the Alberta Street Pub ... 6 pm, no cover

Catch Kate Power and Steve Einhorn at Unity of Beaverton. 7 pm, $20

The first of two nights of Something To Talk About: A Portland Bonnie Raitt Tribute happens at the Alberta Rose. In its third year and going strong, it's an ace group of Portland players led by singer Bre Gregg that rock out on tunes by, or recorded by, Bonnie Raitt. Totally fun show! ... 8 pm, $18/22 ... also Sunday night at 7 pm.

In from New Orleans, it's Galactic -- Stanton Moore and company will be rockin' the Crystal Ballroom ... 8 pm, $30-50

James Clem is at the Muddy Rudder ... 8 pm, no cover

And it's Brazilian Night at The Goodfoot including Bloco Alegria with their Rio de Janeiro carnival style samba and batucada, and Pyatã & The Rhythm playing Brazilian funk, reggae and rock ... 10 pm, $10

The Ex Nashville Cats (Mark Spangler, Jon Koonce, Denny Bixby, John Bunzow) are at O'Connor's ... 7 pm, $5
