Thursday night music ... ya can't be everywhere at once!

How do you choose between these three on Thursday?

Dave Alvin, Eliza Gilkyson, Butch Hancock, Rick Shea, Christy McWilson and Cindy Cashdollar will be at the Old Church. It's the Roots on the Rails Revue (this is part of an annual musical train trip). 7:30 pm, $35, but understand it is sold out.

One of the best songwriters working today, Nashville's Darrell Scott, is at the Alberta Rose Theatre. And as a local bonus, Stephanie Schneiderman is opening ... 8 pm, $25

And one of the great Texas songwriters, Ray Wylie Hubbard will be at Mississippi Studios ... 8 pm, $25

And if you want to catch some early music ...

Lewi and the Left Coast Roasters are in their usual Thursday happy hour slot at the Laurelthirst at 6 pm.

And, the Rose City Kings will be at Berrydale Park (SE 92nd & Taylor) at 6:30 pm. It's a delightfully shady park and this is one of the last of the free summer concerts in Portland parks!
