Fine and free park shows this week

It's been an amazing summer of music around Portland Parks! It's winding down this month, but there's still time to catch some great shows. And it's all free thanks to each series' generous sponsors! This week looks especially good ...

Wednesday catch Pete Krebs & the Earnest Lovers at Ventura Park (6:30 pm), or Edna Vasquez at Washington Park (6 pm) in the Rose Test Garden amphitheater. And, to add to the choices, Music on Main Street downtown has the Freak Mountain Ramblers (5 pm).

On Thursday, the Too Loose Cajun Zydeco Band will be on the east side at Berrydale Park and Lloyd Jones on the west at Couch Park (both at 6:30 pm). Also at Washington Park is a critically acclaimed fusion band (jazz, world, rock) out of LA - the Tizer Quartet (6 pm)

And on Friday, Curtis Salgado will be downtown at Lovejoy Fountain Park (6:30 pm).

Get out in the beautiful weather for live music before the summer's just a memory!
