At the Alberta Rose tonight are three amazing and acclaimed songwriter/performers doing an old-fashioned song-swap in the round ... taking their turns singing their songs and telling stories -
Ruthie Foster,
Paul Thorn, and
Joe Ely. Joe and Ruthie represent the opposite sides of Texas - the wide open dusty cowboy west (Joe is from Lubbock) and the more bluesy Gulf coast east. Paul is the kid from Tupelo, Mississippi who shares gospel and blues influences with Ruthie. Can't say enough about this trio ... should be a very special night of "Southern Troubadours" ... 8 pm, $40
