Saturday it's time for the 13th Mississippi Avenue Street Fair with six stages of music ... festivities begin at 10, with music going from noon til 9 pm... check out the schedule of great acts, including Ural Thomas & the Pain!

It's James Low's last Portland show until his next visit ... tonight at the Laurlethirst he'll be sharing the stage with Fernando!  ... 6 pm, no cover

Hopefully the Carolina Chocolate Drops won't melt into a sticky puddle on the Zoo's stage Saturday ... but if I were you, I'd brave the heat and check out one of the most thoughtful, entertaining, and Grammy Award winning roots music acts coming through town this summer ... and local darling Sally Ford opens ... 7 pm (doors @ 5), $25

Need to dance? Soul Vaccination at The Lehrer is the medicine you need ... 8 pm, $12

Need deep B-3 fronted funk jazz grooves to get a sweat going ... then get up on The Goodfoot with McTuff ... 10 pm, $12...

That's all for now ... so stay cool and remember to hydrate!
