..so much music for me this next couple of months, if I survive this week's residency with Luther Russell at Al's Den...is has been soooo much fun and soooo much great music...keep your ears open for Luther produced records by Freddy Trujillo and Danny DelaMatyr.
Just got inside word on a show at Alberta Rose on Nov. 13 - Tish Hinojosa and hometown girl Anny Celsi opening. Nov. 9th, Dan Reed Network is at the Roseland, then Alejandro Escovedo at Doug Fir on the 14th, Holcombe Waller back at Alberta Rose on Nov. 22nd, and my birthday present, Nine Inch Nails on Nov. 18! My birthday month ends Dec. 19th with X Xmas show at Roseland.
On a non-musical note, the film based on Willy Vlautin's (Richmond Fontaine) novel, "Motel Life" opens at Hollywood Theatre on Nov. 8. If you haven't read his books...well, just do it.....
