A few quick and cheap picks for tonight

So this is shamelessly plugging some of my talented friends for shows tonight -

At 6 pm you can catch Ron Rogers & the Wailing Wind (who, btw, have an excellent new CD) at the White Eagle. No cover.

At 8 pm, Wendy & the Lost Boys are at the Beaterville Cafe and Lubritorium Bar (2205 N Killingsworth). No cover.

At the Secret Society at 9 it's a triple bill of Rich West Blatt, Western Haunts, and Moody Little Sister (a very cool Naomi Hooley/Rob Stroup band) ... www.reverbnation.com/naomihooley ...($5) and 6 pm happy hour is Pete Krebs if you're out earlier.

And, Miller and Sasser play the best little Portland honky-tonk, the Landmark Saloon, at 9:30. No cover.
