Summertime Blues...

..that's what I got at the Blues Fest (and a summer cold) so I missed most of the fun after my work shifts..I guess that Ms. Lucinda was a little off her game and Buddy Guy, of course, killed!!
Did just hear of another Kickstarter fundraiser for a film about John Fahey, longtime Salem resident and iconoclastic acoustical guitar player...it even features interviews with my friend, Tim Knight, owner of the Guitar Castle in Salem and longtime accompanist to John. They even have interviews with Pete Townshend!! Looks like a worthy project to give some of your allowance to. "The Transfiguration of Blind Joe Death" was my first Fahey record and made freshman year of college a little easier to deal with....

I must have had one too many margaritas (that would make 2 total) on the front row sailboat which I had a blast dancing on the bow of Ms Lucinda's entire set and 3 song encore . . . because I thought she was wonderful, but then I'm not a music critic (though I wish I had the kind of knowledge my favorite ones do :)
