Alberta Rose - the perfect venue for this show. These two outstanding singer-songwriter have been touring together for the past few months to great reviews -- they also recorded
A Day At The Pass together last year, which you can read about and hear at
Jill's website .... Had the chance to hear and meet Jill earlier this year and she totally knocked me out as a live performer (I had know her as a respected, kick-ass songwriter) and a delightful person (always a plus in my book!). Here's

Tickets are still available for one of the most promising musical collaborations of 2011--John Doe and Jill Sobule. Doe (yes, that John Doe--frontman for the legendary X as well as an icon/pioneer of both punk and alt-country ), and Sobule (of "I Kissed A Girl" fame and a recent Alberta Rose appearance alongside the great Julia Sweeney) will perform songs from their new album, A Day at the Pass as well as some Sobule, Doe and X favorites.
