Only a few for Saturday, but they're fine choices....

Catch the Portland Playboys at the Secret Society for happy hour (6 pm, no cover), and then stay for three excellent songwriters and instrumentalists - Mary Flower, Joe New, and Brian Oberlin - who will perform solo and together for a sublime evening of acoustic music ... 9 pm, $12

A few good touring shows in town. The Aladdin Theater hosts indie folk/pop standouts, The Mountain Goats ... 8 pm, $20

At the Roseland Theater it's reggae with Stephen Marley, who of the Marley clan probably follows closest in music style and attitude to father Bob ... 9 pm, $29

The Woods has a no-cover show with Hurtbird and the Brothers Young ... 9 pm
