Allen Toussaint and American Metropole Orchestra in Monmouth on Saturday night

Western Oregon University's (WOU) Smith Fine Arts series welcomes Allen Toussaint with the American Metropole Orchestra for the last performance of the 2010-11 season, directed by Keller Coker. This is the first time Toussaint has had songs from his storied career arranged for an orchestra. The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Rice Auditorium. This is the last event of Toussaint's before his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Tickets are $29 in advance, $31 at the door, and $11 for students.
