Music for a chilly Friday

Definitely a December chill . . . time to snuggle up by the fire with a good book, a glass of wine . . .  but if you can motivate out of the house, there's no lack of shows to check out tonight . . . .

The Atonements are at the Queen of Hearts Tavern ... 9 pm, no cover

Returning from the their fall US tour, it will be a welcome homecoming for Blind Pilot with two nights at the Wonder Ballroom. Laura Veirs and Mimicking Birds are also on the bill ... 8 pm, $13

It's Huck Notari and Caleb Klauder bluegrassing it up at (in?) The Woods ...  9 pm, $7

... and at Mississippi Studios, it's Sallie Ford & the Sound Outside, the Brothers Young, and Marty Marquis (of Blitzen Trapper) ... 9 pm, $10
