It's already Thursday . . .

Which means there's music afoot . . . and speaking of feet . . .

Not that you need a reminder of the regular Thursday treats, but for all you jammy, free-form dancin', rock & rollin' fans out there you can't go wrong at Lewi Longmire's Laurelthirst happy hour (6 pm), or the Garcia Birthday Band's monthly slot at the White Eagle (9:30 pm).

Like to dance to a more funky soulful beat, then get your groove on and head to Jimmy Mak's for Mel Brown's B3 Organ Group (8 pm, $5). Ooh baby.

Under the gazebo at Bridgeport Village this evening it's Curtis Salgado (6 pm, free). You can make it an evening of music . . . and shopping! (okay, you can eat, drink and dance too)

Up at the Chapel Pub, Steve Kerin puts the pipes and chimes of the pub's theater organ to a serious workout playing everything from Bohemian Rhapsody to Professor Longhair. (7:30 pm, free)

A fine blues/roots band, Moreland & Arbuckle, will be in town for a show at Duff's Garage. This looks sneaky good, so check 'em out . . . 9:30 pm, $??

And it's squeezebox mayhem at the Crystal Ballroom with the Monsters of Accordion . . . 8 pm, $12

More on weekend coming . . . couple of big ticket shows on Friday - Al Green at Edgefield and Diana Krall at the Schnitz . . . but some great local choices if you're not headed to one of those.
